Dior’s new fashion statement is inspired by a modern interpretation of a vintage piece of clothing.
Dior’s “modern” line is inspired not only by the classic look of dior but by the look of modern life, according to a post on the company’s website.
The line, which includes a slim fit dior dress and a sleek black-and-gold dress with matching shoes, was launched on Monday.
It’s the first Dior piece to include a smartwatch, according the post.
Dior, a French luxury fashion house founded in 1883, recently acquired the brand from designer Ralph Lauren for $1.5 billion.
Dormant for a few months, the brand is now back on Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram and Tumblr, with more to come in the future.
“The dior dream has been born,” Dior founder, Simone Girard, wrote on Instagram on Wednesday.
“We wanted to show the modern world what dior can be.”
The line features a slim fitting, black- and-gold dior skirt that wraps around the hips, the company said.
It also features black, gray, blue and green suede shoes.
Dressing like you’re the 21st century is what diors brand is all about, Girard wrote.
The silhouette of the dior outfit is “a new and bold trend,” according to the post, which said the silhouette is “inspired by the silhouette of diors signature shoes, including the famous classic dior shoes from the mid-20th century.”
“With its modern silhouette, the dio dior offers the perfect fit for your curves,” the post said.
Dorsal and hip are two distinct areas in a woman’s body, and the dori is “the key element that makes dior unique,” Girard added.
“Dior has the best-known and most well-known silhouette in the world, the elegant dori, and this trend is just beginning.”
The brand’s Instagram account also included a video featuring a model wearing the “dior” silhouette.
The fashion statement has not been available in stores, and no product images have been released.
